Andre Lamothe (a.k.a. Lord Necron) This Page is totally dedicated to Andre Lamothe. His work has greatly influenced many new and veteran programmers alike. Uniting a lot of people in an ever growing industry, that provides one of life's greatest form of entertainment. His latest work is Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus (October 1999 - Sams Publishing) and I have about wore the pages out on mine and still flipping pages. His newest book will be out soon and there will be links to it here, probably on every page. His other books include: Sams Teach Yourself Game Programming in 21 days, The Game Programming Starter Kit, The Black Art of 3D Programming, and Windows Game Programming for Dummies. All great books in their own right and bestsellers. In Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus, Andre Lamothe introduces you to the world of game programming with a very realistic viewpoint. Another words, if you can produce a Quake or Unreal quality game the first couple of weeks of programming, we will all fall to our knees and praise the ground upon which you walk. Be real, but also you need a goal or have vision enough to succeed. Speaking of which I'm talking out of turn, until I can do the same. So before you think I'm building an alter and looking for virgins to sacrifice and God strikes me dead. Author Andre Lamothe is founder and CEO of Xtreme Games LLC - Developers and Publishers of 2D/3D games for the PC. At the Xtreme Games website you'll find information on Andre Lamothe and his new book. There is also articles on 3D graphics, DirectX, physics, AI, and many more topics. Xtreme publishes as well as developing games, they offer a way to get your games published on very generous terms. And offer tech assistance to their developers. Go check it out here: Acknowledgement: A special thanks to Andre Lamothe for his opening up game development for everyone. He deserves recognition for his work and a personal thanks for giving me direction in a field that I believe may be the culmination of all life has tried to teach me and all I have learned from it. Most of these games on my site are directly influenced in some way by Andre's programming techniques, so please forgive any similarities and any likeness that may occurr to Andre's or anyone's programming style. Thanks (alien green) ;)
